A platform you rent, or a platform you own

A teacher on a marketplace pays twice: a percentage of every session, and ownership of the relationship with their students. The percentage shows up on the statement, so they see it. The other cost only appears the day they leave — the list is not theirs, and neither is the page.

An organisation subscribing to an LMS pays the same price in another currency: a per-learner fee that comes back every year, its learners’ data on a server whose location it does not know, and of its own identity it owns a logo in the corner. And when the compliance question arrives — where is the data held, who issues the certificate, how does it connect to a national platform — the answer belongs to the vendor, not to them.

Minbar installs on your domain, your server and your database, and is paid for once. The code is yours, the data sits with you, and the look is your own.

Who runs Minbar

The platform records what kind of install it is: an organisation platform carrying several teachers under one management, or an independent teacher’s own. What follows is what each kind finds already set up.

The certificate is issued by the platform with a serial it generated — it cannot be uploaded from outside — and has a public verification page. That is exactly what regulators ask for: a unique number, and a way to check it.

Recitation and ijāza need per-student follow-up: arrange the circle in chapters, open a lesson once the previous one is done, and see where each student stopped. The student records their recitation and the teacher corrects it inside the platform.

A rule with a heard example for each case, and fiqh and ‘aqīda taught matn by matn — nothing new until the previous chapter is held.

AI in authoring

Course author

Ask for a whole course and it lays out the plan first — chapters and lesson titles — then writes lesson by lesson in front of you, saving as it goes. A lesson that fails retries on its own, and a resend picks up where it stopped.

A course from your own documents

Pick your files from the platform’s media library and let the assistant build a complete course from them: you talk to it, you preview chapters and lessons live, and nothing reaches learners until you publish it.

Quiz questions

It reads the chapter’s own lessons and writes multiple-choice questions in the editor’s exact shape — a draft you review and edit before saving. The assistant writes nothing to the database.

A podcast per lesson

Two voices discussing the lesson’s content — not reading it — in one click. You listen first, then decide whether to expose it, and it is locked the way the lesson is: what a learner cannot read, they cannot hear.

On your own key

The assistant runs on the service key you enter on the integrations page, at your cost. We put no key between you and the provider, and take no margin on the call.

Always reviewed before publishing

Everything the assistant produces lands in the editor as a draft: you review it, edit it, save it. The publish step is a person, not a model.

The lesson — twenty-five interactive elements

3D models

A molecule, an electron orbital, a cell, a protein and DNA — the learner turns them with a finger inside the lesson; they are not a still image. A protein structure is fetched from source by its identifier.

Chemistry that checks itself

A chemical equation that balances itself, so you know whether it is right before a learner sees it, and an interactive periodic table the learner answers.

Physics and circuits

A circuit that solves itself — correct a resistance and you do not also have to remember the current written underneath — and a force diagram drawn from its own figures.

Mathematics

Typeset equations inside the text, function plotting, a variation table, a geometric figure, a probability tree, matrices, and statistical charts that take their colours from your platform’s palette.

Images the learner labels

Upload an image and place points the learner names themselves, or annotate it with arrows and captions — without a drawing tool outside the platform.

Qur’an and recitation

Passage selection by surah and ayah with its text and recitation, an articulation-points diagram, and a recorder where the learner sends their recitation or pronunciation for the teacher to correct.

Code that runs in the lesson

An isolated sandbox where the learner executes the example and sees the result. The isolation is genuinely checked, and the sandbox refuses to run without it.

The order is the teacher’s

Elements are written into the lesson body exactly where you want them: "look at the diagram, now read these ayat, now record yourself". And the editor shows you the lesson as the learner will read it, as you write.

Curriculum, learners and certificates

A four-level curriculum

Unit → chapter → lesson, with tracks above them that order courses and stop one starting before the previous is finished. Chapters and lessons are the floor; the rest switches on when needed.

Quizzes, drills and review

A quiz after each chapter with immediate marking, "exercise" lessons ordered easiest to hardest, and spaced review that reschedules what a learner forgets.

Cohorts with a calendar

An intake that starts together, with a meeting schedule and a communication channel, and a calendar the learner subscribes to once to receive every date.

Verifiable certificates

A certificate with a unique serial and QR code, issued automatically on course completion and verifiable by anyone through a public link. No certificate can be uploaded from outside — which is what makes the verification page mean anything.

Learner management and analytics

Your learner list lives with you, any learner upgrades in one click, and reports say what is actually watched and at which lesson learners stop.

Media library and attachments

Video uploaded into your platform’s own library or embedded from YouTube, Vimeo and Bunny, plus syllabi, notes and worksheets attached to the course.

Identity and language

Three complete interface languages

Arabic is the source language, with English and French complete beside it — over two thousand strings each. An English platform runs left-to-right as it should, not as a translation laid over an Arabic template.

Colours derived, not picked

You choose your brand colour, then the relationship — single, analogous, triadic or complementary — and the rest derives from it on a perceptual scale (OKLCH) in keeping with it, with every derived colour still editable by hand.

Twenty-nine typefaces

Fifteen that set Arabic and Latin together, three naskh faces for long reading, seven Latin and seven for code — and the list says which faces set Arabic before you pick one. You can also upload a typeface you have licensed.

A home page by sections

Each section has its own ground — a colour from your theme, one of nine motifs, or an image — so the page does not read as one long band, and you need no drawing tool to separate testimonials from price.

Full identity in every licence

Logo, colours and fonts are not features to unlock by upgrading. What separates the licences is the right to resell and the update channel, not how your platform looks.

Operations and ownership

One-click updates from the browser

A button on the settings page downloads the release, verifies its signature and installs it, with the steps shown as they run — no command line. If a step fails, your platform returns to exactly where it was.

You read what is new first

The settings page shows what changed in the available release before you update, written for the teacher rather than the developer — you are not asked to accept an update you cannot read.

A targeted invitation to whoever is eligible for a course, instead of opening registration to everyone or creating accounts by hand.

The live classroom needs a media path (LiveKit) running on a server — an infrastructure decision that has not been taken. Buying today buys the section above it, and this arrives when it is published, inside the year of updates.

Seventeen machine-learning lessons: typeset equations, code that runs inside the lesson, and a podcast in which two voices discuss it. And an interface that is English throughout, left-to-right, not a translation laid over an Arabic template.

Integrations and APIs

Every integration starts switched off and is enabled by hand from the integrations page, on your own credentials. A platform that never asked for xAPI must not start posting its learners’ activity anywhere.

A public read API

Courses, chapters, learners, enrolments, certificates and cohort sessions, with keys minted on the Developers page and one scope per key. And an open OpenAPI document with no credential: discovering the contract must not require one.

Signed webhooks

Five events — enrolment created, lesson completed, quiz attempted, certificate issued, payment claimed — to one endpoint you choose, HMAC-signed. Point them at n8n, Zapier, Make or your own code and wire the rest yourself.

Built-in learning record store

A Learning Record Store inside your platform speaking standard xAPI: learning activity is saved with you, with no external service and no round trip. It also accepts statements from other systems over /xapi if you give it credentials.

Sending to an external LRS, and FutureX

Activity sent as xAPI to any standard record store, and FutureX integration for platforms licensed by Saudi Arabia’s National eLearning Centre (NELC), on the connection details it issues.

ZATCA tax invoices

A simplified tax invoice with a TLV QR code, compliant with Phase 1, issued automatically on every confirmed sale. Offered only to platforms in the Saudi market.

Payment into your own account

Stripe, Paymob, Moyasar and Tap — pick whichever works in your country and enter your keys, and the money arrives with you directly. Bank transfer and manual payment remain a complete option: the learner transfers, you confirm, the content opens.

Telegram and Zoom

Automatic announcements into each cohort’s group: a reminder an hour before a session, when a scheduled chapter opens, and when a lesson is published. And Zoom, through your own Server-to-Server app, creates the session link and attaches its recording.

Google sign-in and ad pixels

A "Continue with Google" button on the sign-in and sign-up pages — every extra field in a sign-up form costs you learners. Plus Meta, TikTok, Snap and GA4 pixels for anyone running paid campaigns.

And in none of these cases does money pass through us: the gateway accounts are yours, the assistant keys are yours, and the invoice is issued in your name. We sell the platform; we do not take a percentage of what you sell with it.

Said plainly: identity customisation is complete in every licence — logo, colours and fonts are not features to unlock by upgrading. The licence governs the right to resell and the update and support channel, not how your platform looks. And if you would rather we implement your identity ourselves — your licensed typeface, palette and email templates — that is a service at an agreed price.

Worth knowing before you buy

The platform is single-tenant: one instance per buyer, on their own domain and database. An organisation platform carries its teachers inside that single instance, not in one instance per teacher.
The assistant — course authoring, quiz questions and the lesson podcast — runs on a service key you enter on the integrations page, at your cost. The platform works completely without it.
Payment gateways run on your own accounts: Stripe does not open accounts in most countries in the region, so pick whichever works where you are, or stay on bank transfer with manual confirmation — a complete option, not a fallback.
The monthly backup covers the database and uploaded files. Only one copy is kept — each new backup replaces the previous one.
Domain registration depends on availability, and some extensions cost more than the stated amount; we tell you the difference before registering.
The live classroom, permission-based organisation management and learner invitations are not in a published release yet. What ships today is what the "What you get" section lists.

Frequently asked

Is it for an organisation with several teachers, or for one teacher?

Both, and the platform records which at install time. An organisation platform carries its teachers inside a single instance on your domain; there is no instance and no licence per teacher. Memberships, fine-grained permissions and course delegation are complete on the development branch and not yet in a published release.

What exactly does the AI do here?

Three things: it authors a complete course — the plan first, then lesson by lesson — and builds it from your own documents if you want; it drafts quiz questions from a chapter’s lessons; and it produces a podcast in which two voices discuss the lesson. All of it as drafts you review before publishing, running on your key at your cost — and the platform works completely without it.

Can I connect it to our systems?

Yes. A read API with keys, scopes and a public OpenAPI document, and HMAC-signed webhooks on five events you point at n8n, Zapier or your own code. The learning record exports as standard xAPI to any record store, or to FutureX for platforms licensed by the National eLearning Centre.

Does it suit the sciences, or only text and video?

A lesson carries twenty-five interactive elements: 3D models of a molecule, an orbital, a cell, a protein and DNA, a chemical equation that balances itself, a periodic table, a circuit that solves itself, a force diagram, function plots and matrices. The Sciences demo above is built on all of it — open it and turn a model with your finger.

Does it support English and French, or Arabic only?

Three complete interface languages: Arabic is the source, with English and French at over two thousand strings each, and the page direction follows the language. The Bac Math demo teaches in French, and the machine-learning demo has an entirely English interface.

How do I collect payment?

Through a gateway on your own account — Stripe, Paymob, Moyasar or Tap depending on your country — and the money arrives with you directly. Or by bank transfer and manual payment: the learner transfers and sends the receipt, you confirm from the learners page and the content opens. In neither case does the money pass through us.

Do I need technical skills?

Not with the installation offer: we handle the domain, hosting and setup, you receive it ready, and every update after that is a button on the settings page. The source-code offer assumes you, or someone helping you, can deploy a Laravel application.

Who owns the learner data?

You do. The platform runs on your domain and your database; the list and the email addresses sit with you, not with us. The code and the database are yours in both offers, so you can move whenever you like and we are not part of that decision.
