Tunisia honour loans: bank platforms open Thursday 1 October, call your bank first

From Thursday 1 October 2026 an honour-loan application is accepted only on your own bank's platform. Only banks that made a profit in 2025 take part, paper applications already filed must be refiled online, and there is no single national platform. Call your branch for the official address.

Three days to go. From Thursday 1 October 2026 the banks concerned open their digital platforms for honour-loan and micro-financing applications, and from that day the platform is the only door: under Central Bank of Tunisia Circular 2026-08, an application filed by any other means is not taken into account. There is no single national platform. Each bank runs its own, so the first step is to contact your bank or your branch.

What is new this week

  • Not every bank takes part. The scheme covers banks that made a profit in 2025; banks that recorded a loss that year are not concerned. The financial statements published on the Financial Markets Council (CMF) website show which is which.
  • Earlier paper applications do not count. Anyone who handed in a written application at a branch must file it again on the platform.
  • Priority is not approval. The electronic timestamp ranks applications by the date and time they were filed, but the bank still examines the file, checks repayment capacity and consults the BCT risk register before paying anything out.
  • Attijari bank announced on 24 September that applications will be accepted exclusively through its official site, attijaribank.com.tn, from 1 October, with a call centre on 71 111 300.
  • Most of the banks concerned have published an explainer video, made with the Conseil Bancaire et Financier, on how the scheme and the filing work. It is on their official websites.

What to do before Thursday

Call your bank or your branch and ask four questions:

  1. Is my bank taking part in the honour loan this year?
  2. What is the official address of the platform on the bank's website?
  3. Which documents must I have ready when I file?
  4. Do I have to be a customer of the bank to file on its platform?

Have your documents ready before the date. The minute you file sets your place in the queue and starts the decision clock: ten banking working days under Decree 148 of 2026. The capacity, ceiling and document details are in conditions and required documents, and the marks of a genuine platform are in where to file.

Accounting expert Sofiene Weriemi warns applicants to reach the platforms only through the banks' official websites, and not to click links pushed by unofficial sources. One simple rule helps: Decree 148 bans any commission or file fee, so a page asking you to pay to register is not a bank platform.

Why we closed the Noqta request form

Our honour-loan request tool produced a print-ready PDF request, which was useful while applications were handed in at branches. From 1 October a paper request has no effect, and we do not want anyone printing a document that will not be counted. We have stopped generating the PDF, and the page now points you to your bank.
